Kursk State Medical University

Kursk is a centre for industrial, cultural and scientific activities situated at about 500 kilometers south of Moscow with a 5 million population. The University is situated in the heart of Kursk city with half a million populations.

KSMU possesses 4 teaching buildings, a new stomatological building, the Scientific Research Institute of Ecological Medicine of the Central - Black Earth Region Centre of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, 8 laboratories, 5 student hostels, 1 Regional Hospital and 15 Teaching Hospitals, and dispensaries serving as a clinical bases of the University. There is a special room for Muslims to pray. Shopping facilities and other amenities can be found at an immediate vicinity from the campus.

Climate

The weather is of four seasons with the average temperature of +20°C in summer and -8°C to -18°C in winter. All the buildings are centrally heated. Winter clothing can be obtained at Kursk.
